Arturo den Hartog perform is with internationally acclaimed Flemish composer Siebe Thijs and Muziektheater Transparant and embarks on a contemporary pilgrimage to Antwerp. Four bodies traverse an ever-changing landscape. Drawing inspiration from John Dowland's song cycle A Pilgrim's Solace (1612), Thijs creates unique musical theatre for four musical performers.
Pilgrimage door Muziektheater Transparant en componist Siebe Thijs nodigt uit om stil te staan bij de ander, om het onderweg zijn opnieuw te zien als een ontmoeting. Vertrekkend vanuit John Dowlands liedcyclus A Pilgrimes Solace (1612) creëert Thijs een nieuwe muzikale entiteit die live gebracht wordt door vier muzikale performers. Ze bespelen muziekinstrumenten, maar ook lichamen en sculpturen. Alleen of als collectief, voor zichzelf of voor de ander.
